57.4% of the electricity consumed in Denmark in December came from wind power - a world record! No country has ever had more than half of its electricity powered from wind. And the year 2013 offered other records as well. 33.8%, or more than a third, of all the electricity consumed in 2013 came from wind power. On December 21st the wind turbines on the Danish grid even produced more power than the Danes could consume – more than 100% of the electricity on that day was generated by wind power. DK is showing that a green energy transformation can indeed become reality.
