I love that phrase !

U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt once said, “Speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far”, and established a foreign diplomacy ideology nicknamed ‘Big Stick diplomacy’. The meaning of the phrase advises a tactic of caution and non-aggression, backed up by the ability to do violence if required. Similar to the phrase, ‘the iron fist in the velvet glove’, the idea was to begin gently, but hold a decisive weapon in reserve. It is the same way you have to think safety management - You have to convince his colleagues that they should have the right attetude and attitude about safety - And you have to be ready to strike. If they behave irresponsible and creates danger to others. - In modern times, I know a guy who lives the sentencs: Clint Eastwood in all his movies.
